We are aware of reports that scammers impersonating publishing staff or claiming to be literary agents are targeting authors with false book acquisition offers. These individuals request that the author pay them or provide sensitive financial information in exchange for literary services, to facilitate a publishing agreement, or even to arrange a film or TV deal. Their emails sometimes include letters purporting to bear publisher logos, imprint names, and staff signatures.

These communications are fraudulent.
They do not come from Sagga Publishing House and are not associated with our editorial processes.

Please keep in mind the following facts:

  • Sagga Publishing House never asks authors for any form of payment as part of manuscript submissions or book acquisitions.

  • Sagga Publishing House does not partner with third-party companies that provide editorial or marketing services to unpublished or self-published authors.

If you suspect that a communication claiming a connections is fraudulent, protect yourself from fraud:

  • Do not click on any links in the email.

  • Do not open any attachments to the email.

  • Do not reply to the email or contact the sender in any way.

  • If you think you may have compromised the safety of your bank details or have lost money due to fraudulent misuse of your credit cards, contact your financial institution immediately.

Recruitment Fraud Alert

We have received reports that individuals pretending to represent publishing companies are offering false employment offers to job seekers over the internet. These individuals may request that the applicant transfer money or provide sensitive personal or financial information in order to advance their application.

These communications are fraudulent. They do not originate from Sagga Publishing House and are not associated with our recruitment process.

Please keep in mind the following facts:

  • Sagga Publishing Housedoes not ask prospective employees for any form of payment or money transfer as part of job application or onboarding.

  • Sagga Publishing Housedoes not ask prospective employees for information relating to bank accounts, credit cards, or personal passwords, and it does not require applicants to purchase equipment or software.

  • Sagga Publishing House does not recruit for open positions using instant messaging or texts.

If you are contacted in a manner that departs from this description, please treat the communication as fraudulent. Do not send money at the request of a purported recruite. If you suspect you are the target of a scam, we advise you to contact your local law enforcement agency or the FBI's Internet Crimes Complaint Center.
